Measuring for High Heel Boots

Wednesday, March 9th, 2011

Whether you’ve chosen a pair of smart sexy riding boots, some killer heels, or this season’s great boots, it is important to ensure they fit correctly. To do so couldn’t be easier and makes sure that your new purchase will be comfortable enough to enjoy every day, whether you plan to wear your hot new High Heel boots for work or going out.
For High Heel Boots, simply sit down, place your foot flat on the floor and use a measuring tape – or if you don’t have one to hand, a piece of string and a ruler – to measure the circumference of your calf at its widest point. Make sure to wrap the measuring tape reasonably tight, leaving no gaps between it and the skin. After measuring both legs, simply use the larger of the two figures and select your size accordingly.
To ensure a boot is the right height for you, simply sit with your knee at ninety degrees and place your foot flat on the floor then, touching your heel, measure from upwards from the ground to see where on your leg the top of the boot will sit. Should the measurement fall in line with the crease of your knee, these boots are likely to be uncomfortable whilst sitting, and rub on your joint. The length of the bootleg given is from the bottom of the boot itself and does not include any high-heel or platform. It is also worth noting that larger shoe sizes and calf sizes often mean the leg of the boot itself will be longer, however this is also dependant on the style of the footwear.
When measuring for your gorgeous new High Heel boots, there are a few important points to bear in mind, in order to ensure the best possible fit. Firstly, it is necessary that should you plan to wear your new boots with thick socks or tights, that you wear these whilst measuring. Similarly, if you plan to tuck your trousers into the leg of your boots, you should take the width measurement over the top of your clothes, rather than from your bare leg. You should also consider the fact that most knee high boots come with a small elastic section at the top allowing stretch of at least a centimetre, and that similarly leather and suede will give slightly as the boot is worn in.
It is also important to note that the ankle size of a boot changes with the leg width, and that this area of the footwear should allow for movement. It is possible, if you have large or slim ankles in comparison to your calves, that certain styles will fit better than others. If you have wide or narrow feet, you should also note that whilst most boots are manufactured with a standard C fit for leg widths between 30cm and 40cm, boots with calf measurements between 40cm and 50cm often boast a slightly wider width fitting. If in doubt, it is advisable to talk to a member of staff before ordering your Womens Boots.

how and when to wear different women’s shoe styles

Wednesday, March 9th, 2011

The women’s shoes certainly deserve a lot of attention. From frequently asked style questions, to tips on how to wear the latest trends in women’s shoes. These articles will help you learn how and when to wear different women’s shoe styles. After all, they are a major style statement. Therefore, if you are buying a pair of them, you have to make sure that you are taking into consideration a number of factors. It must match the dresses, it must be stylish, it must be something different, it must have the right shade and shape, and the list goes on.
At the same time, you need to pay attention to the comfort of the shoe as well. After all, a stylish shoe that you can’t keep on your feet for long does not make much sense. Therefore, you have to consider this factor as well.
Now, if you are feeling puzzled, here are some tips that will lead you out of this confusion. So, keep them in mind whenever you go out shopping the women’s shoes.
Well, the first thing that you need to consider is the purpose of the shoe. You should think about why you are going to buy the shoe. Is it to wear with some stylish dress? Or is it for sport or any other activity? The answer to this question is very crucial. For, there are different shoes designed for different purpose. So, once you have the answer, you will have the opportunity to choose from that specific category.
This will not only make your task of choosing the right shoe, it will make you happy about your choice as well.
The next important thing is your budget. Well, this does not mean that you have to have a huge budget. Rather, it means that you should stick to your budget whatever it is. Generally, the expensive shoes are more comfortable and last longer. However, if you are on a shoe string budget, make sure that you are not allured by the salespersons.
Now, you have to decide over the color of the shoe. Here, you need to consider the type and color of dresses that you are going to wear with this shoe. However, if you don’t have a clear idea about this, or if you have a number of various dresses for the shoe, you can consider purchasing the black shoe. This is a classy shade and will match with most of the colors. However, if you have a lot of light shaded dresses, you can choose the ivory shoes.
Another important thing that you should consider is the style. The stiletto heels are available in a wide range of style. Therefore, make up your mind about the style of shoe that you will be wearing. Also, you have to decide over the height of heel, and the size of the shoe.
In buying any kind of shoe, it is suitable to have your feet measured while you are standing so you can have the perfect fit. According to some experts, it is better to shop for shoes later in the day because the feet tend to swell during the day, and it’s best to be fitted while they are in that state. If you are buying on the store, try to wear both shoes and walk with them around that store. The best shoe doesn’t require any break-in period, so the first time you wear your preferred shoes, they should be comfortable; if they are not, try another pair.

Get People To Take Some Notice About Battery Care And Maintenance

Never over discharge a battery

Full discharges put a lot of strain on the battery, and it’s much better practice to do shallow discharges to no lower than 20 percent. Deep discharging will harm the battery and cause all of the forklift’s electrical components to run excessively hot. Significant lift truck damage can result, including complete motor failure, burned armatures and brushes, and burned or stuck contacts, which can quickly render the truck unsafe and unusable.

Deep discharging can easily increase the recharge time outside your charger’s range to recover, causing the battery to be only partially charged for the next day.

Most automatic chargers must sense a minimum battery voltage to activate and turn on. If the battery is below the threshold voltage, you will not be able to recharge the battery and may require a service call to manually start the charger.

If you don’t have a working discharge indicator, we recommend installing at least a simple “passive” discharge indicator. They are available for about $75.

keeping a Li-ion battery fully charged is not good for it either. This isn’t because Li-ion batteries can get “overcharged” (something that people used to worry about in The Olden Days of portable computers), but a Li-ion battery that doesn’t get used will suffer from capacity loss, meaning that it won’t be able to hold as much charge and power your gadgets for as long.

Even using a battery at room temperature for a year can bring its capacity down by as much as 20 percent, and the interior of most computers is a mite cozier than than that.

Running the battery out very quickly by drawing a lot of power at once is another way to cause it a lot of strain.

WATERING:

* New batteries require water approx. every 10 charges for the first few years. Reconditioned batteries may require water every 5 charges.

* On both new and reconditioned batteries, we recommend you check 2 or 3 pilot cells every 5 charges to see that the water level is just above the red perforated plastic Element Protector after charge (color varies depending on brand).

* If low, add only enough water to cover the Element Protector by approx. ¼”. The additional space is necessary for expansion while gassing at the end of charge.

1. Ensure the battery top is clean, dry and free of dirt and grime. A dirty battery can discharge across the grime on top of the battery casing.

2. Inspect the terminals, screws, clamps and cables for breakage, damage or loose connections.v
These should be clean, tight and free of corrosion.

3. Apply a thin coating of high temperature grease to posts and cable connections for added protection.

4. Inspect the battery case for obvious signs of physical damage or warpage. This usually indicates the Iphone 3G Power Battery has overheated or has been overcharged.

5. Check electrolyte levels to ensure that fluid levels are over the top of battery plates. If necessary top up using distilled or demineralised water. Never top up fluid levels with acid.
6. Test the battery using either a hydrometer, voltmeter, or battery analyser and charge if necessary.

Do Some Notice To Take Care Your IPad Battery

Friday, March 4th, 2011

You can extract more battery juice from your iPad if you would only take time to turn off some of the services you will not use more often. iPad is built to have more robust battery, however, if you do not know how to care for it, it will be the first to get damaged. Now, here are some of ways which made me use my iPad more than 12 hours… this has already been tested.
1.Settings => Network => WiFi => Off
2.Settings => General => Bluetooth => Off
3.Settings App => General => Network => 3G Off
4.Settings => Locations Services => Off
5.Settings => Brightness => Auto-Brightness => On
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month
Charging your iPad while in certain carrying cases may generate excess heat, which can affect battery capacity. If you notice that your iPad gets hot when you charge it, take it out of its case first.
Take care in dealing with finicky iPad batteries
by Jim Rossman
Since my iPad’s battery is not replaceable, I want it to last as long as possible. I’m trying to not abuse the battery, but I’m reading conflicting reports of how it should be charged to maximize use.
What’s your take?
K.D., Dallas
Rechargeable batteries are great, but as technology advances to bring new types of batteries, there are sometimes new thoughts as to how to best take advantage of them.
The iPad uses a 25-watt lithium-polymer battery that gives up to 10 hours of use, according to Apple.
The iPad is very finicky as to how fast it charges.
The best and fastest way to charge is via the included 10-watt USB power adapter.
Since it really doesn’t look different than other USB adapters, you would be led to believe that any USB port will charge the iPad.
That is and isn’t true.
The USB standard for providing power to a device is 5 watts.
The iPad can charge with 5 watts of power, but only when it’s asleep. If you’ve got an iPad plugged into any old USB port and the screen is on, it will show “Not Charging” next to the battery icon.
Rest assured that when you put the iPad to sleep, it will commence charging but at a much slower rate.
Some newer Macs have high-power USB ports, which will charge the iPad a bit faster, but do yourself a favor and use the included charger.
Apple says to keep the battery away from extreme heat. Keeping your iPad in direct sunlight or in a hot car can severely shorten the battery’s life.
I’ve seen iPads that have overheated and only have a warning icon on the screen about being too hot to run. That’s a situation you really want to avoid.
Apple also says to charge your iPad’s battery to 100 percent and then let it drain completely once a month to prolong battery performance.
I do this for my laptops, and I always let them run until they shut off by themselves, which is safely short of an empty battery. Then plug it back in, charge to 100 percent and don’t worry about it for another month.
I set a monthly reminder on my calendar to discharge the battery.
With proper care, your iPad’s battery should retain 80 percent of its original capacity after 1,000 charge cycles.
Apple does not provide free battery replacements for all damaged iPad batteries. Instead, you will have to pay $99 for the battery alone excluding tax and shipping fee. Another thing is, you will not be able to find iPad battery replacement anywhere else except in Apple Store. Therefore, it pays a lot to do some minor tweaks on your iPads default settings. Do it now before your battery dies.Apple has improved the performance of iPhone 4 battery. Apple claims that , the new iPhone 4 has talk time of up to 7 hours on 3G, up to 14 hours on 2G.

1.Use the small flat-head screwdriver to create space between the ceiling and the overhead dome light. When the dome light is loose enough to grab, pull it out from the ceiling nook and unplug the wire harness from the back. Tuck the wires up into the ceiling nook.

2.Hold the support bracket over the hole in the ceiling. Trace around the bracket with a box cutter to cut out the headliner. Remove the support bracket from the ceiling and remove the piece of headliner.

3.Pull the wires out from the ceiling nook and thread them through the wire slot on the support bracket. Hold the bracket up to the ceiling and drill a hole in all 4 corners of the bracket using a drill with a machine tap drill bit.
